The timber-framed building will never be fully completed but will show how a three-bedroom house can be built to the requirements of Level 3 and Level 4 of the government's Code for Sustainable Homes. Key parts of the structure will be left unfinished to show how it is possible to combine different building techniques and technologies to meet demanding environmental standards without excessive cost.
